Arizona Rural Trans Initiative

The Arizona Rural Trans Initiative (ARTI) program is a charitable program for transgender and gender expansive individuals who are in danger of losing their housing, essential resources, communication, or transportation, or those who are relocating to Arizona from unsafe environments in need of assistance with the same.

The fund can provide awards up to $100 USD per organization the applicant is requesting payment toward, with proof of hardship.

Eligible Conditions

  • Risk of loss of housing (rent/mortgage payments).
  • Essential living resources (water, electricity, food, transportation).
  • Communication (cell phone, basic internet).
  • Relocation to Arizona from an unsafe location.

Eligibility

  • Must identify as transgender or gender expansive.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • If an Arizona resident, must reside outside of Maricopa county.
  • Must provide proof of hardship in the form of a past due bill, late notice, or similar.
