Phoenix PFLAG and Primetimers of Phoenix Film

PFLAG and Primetimers of Phx have purchased this film for a one-time showing here at The Beatitudes Campus on October 25th (Thursday night) at 7 pm. It will be totally free, and cookies, coffee and juice, etc. will be served. It will be held in our Life Center (which is at the far west end of the campus).

The film is “Real Boy” an intimate story of a family in transition. As 19 year old Bennett Wallace navigates sobriety, adolescence, and the evolution of his gender identity, his mother makes her own transformation from resistance to acceptance of her trans son. Along the way, both mother and son find support in their communities, reminding us that families are not only given, but chosen.

REAL BOY has received 20 festival awards, screened in 23 countries, and was broadcast on PBS, Independent Lens in June 2017.

The address is 1610 W. Glendale Ave., Phx. AZ 85021. As they turn in off of Glendale, not to go through the guard station, but to turn either immediately left or right to find a parking place in front of the facility. The Life Center is down at the far left end of the parking lot, but there is also public parking off to the right or east as well.

PFLAG and Primetimers of Phoenix sincerely hope you can join them for this film.
